Lulee earrings feature a threaded post with a round screw-on ball back — designed to sit flush and flat against your skin for all-day, all-night comfort. Here is everything you need to know to wear them correctly.
How To Insert Your Earrings
Step 1 — Wash your hands
Always start with clean hands before handling your earrings or touching your ears.
Step 2 — Hold the front piece
Hold the decorative front of the earring between your fingers and gently push the threaded post through your piercing hole from the front.
Step 3 — Screw on the round back
From behind your ear, take the round ball back and screw it onto the threaded post. Turn clockwise until it is snug and secure.
Step 4 — Check the fit
The round ball back should sit flat and flush against the back of your ear with no sharp edges pressing into your skin. That's the Lulee difference.
Can I Sleep In Them?
Yes — and that is exactly what they are made for.
The round-back design means nothing is poking or pressing into your skin when you lie down. No pillow marks, no soreness, no waking up to remove them at 2 AM. Simply put them on and forget about them — day and night.
However, a word of care:
While our earrings are designed for 24/7 comfort, wearing any earrings continuously for extended periods without breaks can affect your ear health over time. We recommend:
- Giving your ears an occasional rest — even just a few hours a week
- Cleaning both your earrings and earlobes regularly
- Checking that the ball back hasn't loosened during sleep and tightening if needed
Your comfort and health always come first.
How To Stack & Style
Round-back earrings are perfect for stacking — their low profile means multiple piercings can sit close together without clashing or tangling.
Lobe stack ideas:
- Minimalist — Two small studs in the first and second lobe piercing for a clean, everyday look
- Layered — Mix a larger statement piece on the first lobe with a delicate mini stud higher up
- Full stack — Three piercings, three different styles — pearl, crystal, and plain silver for a curated ear look
Styling tips:
- Round-backs work beautifully for helix, tragus, and cartilage piercings as well as standard lobe piercings
- Mix metals thoughtfully — our 925 silver pairs well with both warm and cool tones
- Less is often more — a single well-chosen round-back stud can be just as striking as a full stack
How To Remove Your Earrings
Step 1 — Hold the front piece steady with one hand
Step 2 — With your other hand, unscrew the round ball back counter-clockwise from behind your ear
Step 3 — Gently pull the post out from the front
Step 4 — Place both pieces safely in your jewelry pouch or box
Tip: Be careful not to over-tighten the ball back when putting them on — it makes removal much easier.
